About The Work
This work is characterized by its innovative use of the semicircle, a unique sculptural element, and its reimagining within a three-dimensional space. I employ the methodology of the Schematic Medium to transform planar elements into organic three-dimensional forms, experimenting with the connection between two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces.
Based on the fundamental concepts of "Circle Geometry," this piece explores the pure form within three dimensions, illustrating the process of extending planar design elements into the spatial realm. Traditional sculptural elements such as points, lines, planes, and shapes are applied to objects, physically manifesting them in three-dimensional space, offering a fresh perspective on the fundamental beauty of form.
In particular, "Schematic Objects Study from Circle Geometry" blends the concept of the schematic with objects, allowing viewers to directly experience sculptural elements that transcend planar formats and expand into spatial forms. This approach not only implements the principles of geometric abstract art within a three-dimensional context but also reexamines the aesthetic values of minimalism and essentialism, while exploring new aesthetic possibilities.
In conclusion, this work demonstrates the new possibilities that arise when planar design elements are expanded into three-dimensional space. It continues the tradition of geometric abstract art, which marks a significant turning point in modern art, while also functioning as an artistic entity that expands the boundaries and potential of contemporary art through the concept of the Schematic Medium.
