About The Work
The Tri Form Series rearticulates the conceptual structure of BYR Prime Elements as a unified system.
Whereas Blue (Gyeok), Yellow (Hyeong), and Red (Gong) were previously presented as independent formative principles, here they are reconfigured to operate simultaneously within a single, integrated structure.
In this context, “Tri Form” does not simply denote three forms. Rather, it refers to a state in which three fundamental principles of formation—Gyeok as the structural framework, Hyeong as the acquisition of form, and Gong as a condition of expansion—are interdependently conjoined.
Each element retains its distinct function while sustaining the others, together constituting a schematic system.
This integration shifts the focus of form-making from the problem of discrete objects to that of relational structure.
Form is no longer a fixed outcome, but emerges as a process in which heterogeneous principles are realized through tension and equilibrium.
Here, structure is not merely a means of support, but functions as both the condition and the operative logic through which existence is constituted.
Ultimately, the Tri Form Series redefines form as a structural event by recombining formative principles previously articulated in isolation.
It demonstrates that Kim Heejo’s practice moves beyond the production of discrete forms toward an inquiry into the very conditions by which the world is structured.
